MARCH 2017 – LaBahn’s Landscaping is proud to announce that account managers Julio Flores and Jeremy LaBahn have recently received the distinction of Certified Water Managers from the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA).
CLCA Certified Water Managers are experts in planning, installing, and maintaining water-saving irrigation systems. They receive specialized instruction and must pass a written test to become certified, then complete an irrigation audit, and demonstrate proficiency at required levels for one year on actual landscape sites prior to achieving full certification status. With this new certification, Julio and Jeremy will apply their specialized skills towards helping our clients save water and money while maintaining beautiful landscapes.
Launched in 2007 in response to new water efficiency regulations, CLCA’s Water Management Certification Program provides classroom instruction and practical training in state-of-the-art water conservation techniques. The program has earned the WaterSense label from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and course seminars qualify for continuing education units from industry-leading landscaping and water conservation organizations, such as the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), the Irrigation Association, and the International Association of Arboriculture.
The California Landscape Contractors Association is a nonprofit trade organization of licensed landscaping professionals, with approximately 17 chapters and 3,200 members statewide that include landscaping contractors, landscape architects, suppliers, public officials, educators, and students. Formally incorporated in 1952, CLCA has been meeting as an association since 1937.
