“I was walking the property and I was surprised by what I found. It had been two months, but when I came to the site I found brown patches in the grass, dead plants, and more weeds than I could count. When I called my landscaper, they told me they had an irrigation problem they were in the middle of fixing, a proposal was going to be sent for the plants, and the excessive rain had caused more weeds than normal, they were “on it” and would have it under control in a month or so; they had just sprayed some chemicals to deal with it. I was given a ton of assurances, which I hope are true. They appeared to be on it, but why did I have to walk the property and find these issues, and call them about it. Can you imagine what my client thinks about this mess?”
Not what you’d expect, right?
Unfortunately, we hear this story all the time from potential clients we work with. This is about the time we get called in to provide a bid for their commercial landscaping on their property. While we are far from perfect, and sometimes our managers have to recount this story about us (to our shame), we will ALWAYS make it right for you.
When we start on a property, we provide a 30-60-90 day plan for welcoming a new client into our “family”, and we are in fact a family business. The whole goal of this road map is to give you, and our team, a set of clearly identified outcomes you can expect from us. Things like a rotation map, irrigation survey, weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly landscaping report are standard in our process.
Our team is trained to look for key “non-negotiable” items that we use as a communication guide for you- efficient irrigation systems, excessive weeds, problems with plant material, soil conditions, etc. These are all aspects of our communication with you. When you walk a property, you should have no surprises because we have already communicated these things to you. Of course we are not perfect, and there are times when things happen out of our control, or when we simply drop the ball.
Our promise to you is that we will always make it right.
